This client originally came to Online Marketing Standard back in 2020 to get their organic traffic and Google My Business (GMB) listings prominently placed in search results both nationally and locally in the Andover and Boston, MA markets, where they physically operate.
Month one of the campaign started off by first conducting an exhaustive site audit and local citations audit to uncover coding, content, site architecture, analytics, and local citation issues that were hindering the site’s performance in Google organic and GMB.
In Month 2 and beyond, Online Marketing Standard fixed the issues unearthed in month one’s audit and immediately deployed an aggressive SEO and Local SEO strategy to boost the client’s visibility locally and nationally with a heavy focus on start-ups, non-profits and Quickbooks-related proactive searchers.
The strategy consisted of the following:
- Audit and fix all issues uncovered in the website audit and local citations audit
- On-page SEO of all of their top pages (bookkeeping, non-profit bookkeeping, part-time CFO services, Quickbooks bookkeeping, etc)
- Link Development to boost ranking for main phrases and their respective page targets
- Content Marketing of up to 1k words/month of fresh copy in the form of new landing pages or highly relevant blog posts
SEO Results – June 1, 2020 – September 23, 2021 vs. June 1, 2019 – September 23, 2020
Looking at the above Google Analytics graph showcasing June 1, 2020 – September 23, 2021, vs. the same time period the year prior, the results we achieved in our follow up SEO campaign tells the tale.
Google Organic Growth:
Overall organic search engine traffic saw marked gains as well:
- New Users went up 369%
- % of New Users went up 364%
- Sessions went up 308%
- Inbound form submissions went up 26%
Now in our second year, we are currently on pace to achieve a 400% increase in organic traffic and record-breaking numbers in terms of inbound phone inquiries and form submissions to inquire about this client’s bookkeeping and part-time CFO services.
Google My Business (local SEO), which was a critical part of our overall strategy, never had tracking set up properly within Google Analytics to track performance until Online Marketing Standard started working with this client. Because of this, we’re only able to show traffic and form submissions from inception to current since year-over-year data isn’t available for this timeframe.
